We didn get to Hill Top Farm or Beatrix Potter Museum in Bowness but saw huge amount of Herdwick sheep and hungry ducks. There is always one little duck who looks more hungry and soulful

On this side of the lake in Dodd wood is an Osprey nest but by November they have flown away to Africa – didnt climb very high because im frightened of heights and was walking in wellys but this is the lower slope of Skiddaw, little under 1000 metres.
